ETS continues to expand its presence as a youth sports provider, now expanding into the Northeast region
ETS Performance has arrived in the Empire State. The fitness chain, which specializes in training youth, high school, college, professional and Olympic athletes, just announced the opening of its first fitness center in New York State, specifically in Queensbury, New York.
“Our athletes, partners and dedicated coaches have seen the impact that specialized training programs have on the athletic development of our athletes,” said CEO Jed Schmidt. ETS performance. “Our mission is to empower the next generation of top athletic talent by providing unparalleled training that not only enhances their physical abilities but also builds their character and resilience.”
It is said that the new facility will cater for youth athletes aged 8 to 18 years old and include specialized training programs supported by high-end equipment and expert coaches. Since launching in 2010, it has served 3,500 college athletes and more than 250 professional athletes, according to ETS.
Veteran ETS Performance Partner and Queensbury native David Martin will serve as captain for the new facility, having previously worked successfully with another facility in Wisconsin for three years. Martin has coached hundreds of youth and professional athletes, including Tyler Mattison of the Detroit Tigers, J.P. Feyereisen of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Terrin Vavra of the Baltimore Orioles.
Those who arrive first at the Queensbury location will have the opportunity to earn more than just a membership. To celebrate the launch of the program, ETS is offering a free assessment and one month of free training to the first 50 individuals to sign up for the program. New members also have the chance to win a jersey autographed by NFL wide receiver Adam Thielen or NHL forward Jake Guentzel.
“We are proud to launch our new facility in New York and look forward to helping shape the next generation of great athletes in Queensbury,” Schmidt added.
Thielen and Guentzel have long supported ETS as partners, but they’re not the only high-profile athletes to do so. Other stars partnering with the brand include Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Harrison Phillips and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. Earlier this year, Cousins helped establish two ETS locations in Michigan.
This opening, along with the Queensbury store, brings ETS’ total number of sports facilities to 43. The brand has opened seven stores this year alone and plans to grow further in the Northeast and Midwest.
All in all, another win for youth sports. A few weeks ago, women’s volleyball organization League One Volleyball received a $100 million investment from private equity firm Atwater Capital. The Biden-Harris administration also worked with 14 professional sports leagues and athletes associations earlier this year to upgrade their youth sports programs.
