Tempo Looks To Lure Gym Members by Covering Cancel Fees

This AI-powered home strength training company is launching a ‘fitness refund’ program to win over unsatisfied gym members

The battle between home fitness and the gym has heated up, and Tempo is striking hard.

This smart home gym company is getting creative with converting unused gym memberships with its “Fitness Refund” campaign, which speed When users sign up for the Tempo Training plan, they will pay the “average” gym cancellation fee price, which includes 30 days free.

Designed to remind fitness enthusiasts that working out at home doesn’t require commuting or planning a workout, Tempo’s offer also launches during tax season, a time when gym membership attendance begins to decline, leading to an estimated loss of $397 million in one year, the smart home gym brand says Unused gym membership.

Tempo Training is compatible with any iOS device and provides AI-powered, on-demand personalized training that adapts over time. New members gain access to 3,500 guided workouts from certified Tempo trainers, weekly live classes, monthly community challenges, body composition scans and real-time rep, weight and form coaching.

This strategic move is similar to what smart home gym brand Tonal will make in 2023 to attract Lululemon Mirror owners.

Eldeeb is results-oriented. The Tempo co-founder is a computer science graduate from Columbia University and a former personal trainer on a mission to make fitness easier through artificial intelligence.

The smart home gym startup raised $220 million in Series C funding in 2021.

“I realized that one-on-one personalized training and coaching was out of reach for most people, so sought to fill that gap by combining artificial intelligence and weightlifting to create the only home fitness with a built-in personal trainer solution,” Eldeeb told ATN in an interview last November.

Tempo’s limited-time refund offer is valid until April 15, 2024.
