After years of development, the health technology platform Coach Welly has officially launched.
The company was founded in 2019 by CEO Owen Bowling. Coach Willie As well as its main features such as AI-powered workouts, it has been considered a top contender in fitness technology for many years. Starting September 6, the platform will be open to members O2 Gym Located on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
In addition to an AI-powered proactive chatbot that can assist with goal-setting and workout ideas, Coach Welly also offers heart rate variability (HRV) tracking and readiness scores, available with a simple camera scan. The platform also offers gamified rewards for gym members to complete exercise and wellness activities, incentivizing engagement and personalizing workouts.
Sam Cochrane, who has managed O2 Gyms for six years, said he and his team were excited to bring this game-changing technology to customers.
“We are delighted to be one of the first gyms to offer Coach services to our members.
“Welly is our destination. This partnership will provide our members with a more holistic approach to fitness, helping them track their progress beyond just working out in the gym,” said Cochrane.
The health platform plans to release more features and partnerships in the coming months.
“With Coach Welly, our members can continue their journey in and out of the gym and still reap all the rewards of working out in the gym and life outside the gym,” added Cochrane. “It also gives us access to data we never had before, which will help inform our business strategy and enable us to deliver the best products and services to our members.”
In November 2023, Coach Welly announced a partnership with gym chain World Gym Australia, set to launch this month, and since then the platform’s list of new clients has only grown.
In March, the tech startup added a head of North America to its team as it looks to expand into new international markets.
