Partners increase scholarships from 25 to 30, providing more opportunities for aspiring fitness professionals
The International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and REIGN Total Body Fuel are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their collaborative scholarship program, which has made a significant impact on the careers of aspiring fitness professionals.
Launched in 2020, International Student Association The x REIGN Scholarship Program has awarded over 100 ISSA Master Trainer certifications, providing recipients with the education and tools to advance in the fitness industry.
Kurt Mangum II, ISSA Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, highlighted the success of the program: “Over the past 5 years, our partnership with REIGN has been transformative, enabling more than 100 students to pursue their dreams in fitness education. This milestone underscores our commitment to expanding access to quality fitness education and developing the next generation of health and wellness leaders.”
To mark the fifth anniversary, the ISSA and reign In 2024, the number of scholarships will increase from 25 to 30. The recipients will receive intensive education in personal training, nutrition and fitness planning. In addition, the scholarship recipients can participate in the ISSA and REIGN Ambassador Program to further develop their careers.
“This scholarship has provided me with the tools to take my training to the next level for my clients and myself,” said 2020 scholarship recipient Nadine Lee.
“As a head trainer, I have completed my personal trainer certification, as well as specialized training in nutrition and transformation. The flexibility and support of the program provides an independent-career mom like me the opportunity to pursue my passion for fitness.”
Applications for the scholarship open on Monday, August 12, 2024, and close on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The first 15 winners will be announced on August 27, 2024. A second application window will open in the fourth quarter, with specific dates to be announced in September, and an additional 15 winners will be selected by the end of the year. ISSA and REIGN seek applicants who are passionate about fitness and committed to improving the health and well-being of their communities.
