The award-winning actress and fitness celebrity is bringing her upbeat cardio routine to virtual reality
From 1982 to 1995, more than 17 million people watched Jane Fonda host her iconic VHS fitness series in tights and leg warmers, which became the first to hit the sales charts of non-theatrical home video. Now, Fonda is working with supernatural, Meta Quest’s virtual reality fitness program brings her favorite instructional videos into 2024.
In homage to her best-selling home VHS workout videos, Fonda and Meta created a four-part workout series called Jane Fonda’s Workoutwhich will be released on Christmas Day.
Rapper and Fonda friend Ludacris will appear in one of the four segments.
The series Includes retro fitness program Flow with Jane Fonda, Box with Jane Fonda and Ludacris, Group exercise experience Jane Fonda: Team Workout and resume meetings Jane Fonda: Stretch, Provides users with multiple options for their exercise routine.
In Jane Fonda’s Workout, Fonda hand-selected her own music, environments and choreography based on VHS tapes from the 1980s and 1990s.
“This is a full circle moment,” Ludacris wrote in one post Instagram. “Growing up, I would watch my mother sweat it out on @JaneFonda’s iconic VHS workout tapes. Now, I’m beyond honored to be working with the fitness icon herself on a new creation for @getsupernatural on @metaquest workout series.”
Supernatural is a fitness app available on the Meta Quest virtual reality headset that allows users to engage in full-body cardio workouts in a virtual environment with engaging music and visuals. The app offers boxing and flow workouts at varying intensity levels, as well as stretching and meditation sessions led by a personal trainer.
