The functional fitness brand continues to open franchises across the U.S. at an astonishing rate
Pvolve, a functional fitness franchise that combines low-impact exercise with resistance training, has signed deals for two new locations in Atlanta and San Francisco.
The brand announced plans to open its first studio in Atlanta later this month, further expanding its already impressive roster of studios. evolution Member Amber Jackson is joining the brand to help open the new studio, having just started working with the brand as a client a few years ago.
“My first class at Pvolve was nothing like anything I’d ever experienced before,” Jackson recalls. “It was an amazing workout that felt gentle yet powerful for my body. But what really resonated with me was the incredible community—a supportive network of women who inspire each other to be their best. That’s why I knew I had to bring Pvolve to Atlanta. This city deserves a fitness experience that’s all about empowerment and feeling your best.”
Julie Cartwright, President of Pvolve, added, “It’s an honor to work with Amber on this new location. She is very supportive of our mission to educate people that fitness programs don’t have to be hard to be effective. Her business acumen and focus on operational excellence will undoubtedly make this studio a success.”
Pvolve also announced it will open two studios in the San Francisco Bay Area and hired local entrepreneur Venetia Vonic as an advisor. Vonic started out as a Pvolve member and later became a franchisee of two new stores, one of which will open in Walnut Creek later this fall.
“After injuring my back last year, I questioned whether physical fitness would ever play the same role in my life as it did before,” says Wernick. “But when I discovered Pvolve and began exploring their on-demand library of functional workouts, I started feeling better than ever. So much so that I wanted to start attending their indoor classes—only to find out that the brand didn’t exist in San Francisco. So, I set out to change that for everyone.”
Pvolve only opened its first franchise in San Diego last year, but as of March, it has more than 40 franchises. Much of the brand’s success is due to its unique functional fitness workouts, which are particularly effective among women 40 and older. A recent study found that for middle-aged and older women, Pvolve workouts were more effective for lower body health than 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobics and strength training per week.
These benefits attracted Jennifer Aniston, who joined the brand as a member and joined the brand as a consultant for marketing, product and programming strategy in 2023. Pvolve recently launched a collection of equipment and fitness curated by the famous actress.
